Beattie could have had so many more England caps – This week’s Fuller Flavour

With no Town game at the weekend and with two England games in the offering, I caught up with the man that many regard as Ipswich Town’s greatest-ever player Kevin Beattie to discuss his very brief England career.

But for injury, the ‘Beat’ would have won so many more caps for sure. He had a goal disallowed on his debut v Cyprus, scored in a 5-1 win over Scotland and actually earned more money per game from his boot sponsor than the FA.
