Darts night hits the bullseye…..

The recent Darts night that raised funds for the ITFC Academy was a hit amongst Town supporters as Kevin Painter and Keith Deller were joined by Russ Bray and a number of Ipswich players of both past and present to put on a top show that was superbly organised by Simon Milton.

More on this night can be read in this week’s column. On the night, supporters could have their photo taken with the Embassy World Darts trophy that Keith won in 1983 and the Play-off trophy that Town won in 2000.  Here I am pictured with Kevin with the latter.

Also in the column is a look forward to the next fundraising night organised by by Town Supporters group ‘Spirit of 78’.  Jason Dozzell will be present on the night on 29th March at the Drum and Monkey along with Soccer AM’s Franky Fryer and the FA Cup.  This is for another great cause as monies raised will go to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

Back to the football and Town take on Birmingham City tomorrow at Portman Road and you feel that nothing less than a win will do if we are serious about keeping in touch with the race for a play-off place.  And let’s hope Jonny Williams’ loan spell from Crystal Palace starts as well as Palace fans are predicting.

On to this week’s column and the topics are as follows:

Darts night hit the bullseye for Blues and raised cash for club…..George’s gems going under the hammer…..and Get in the spirit with legend Jason and fans.
